Haigh’s Chocolate Factory Tour

Haigh’s is the oldest family-owned chocolate maker in Australia. Today the company is run by the fourth generation of the Haigh’s family and employs over 650 people throughout their factory, administration, online and 22 retail stores located across Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.

Over the century Haigh’s has been in business, some things have changed, yet many remain the same. Their traditions, quality and passion for chocolate making continue. Their factory teams use meticulous artisan skills combined with the latest in modern manufacturing, high levels of training, equipment and techniques to create chocolates that look and taste delicious. Many of their chocolates continue to be hand-made and finished.

This is an exclusive look into how the team of confectioners use artisan skills to create, and hand finish their delicious range of chocolates from cocoa bean to the final product. As part of the tour, you will meet the owners Alister and Simon, who will share the journey of this fourth-generation family business as well as enjoy special chocolate tastings.

Dress:
– Casual wear, flat, enclosed shoes must be worn
– All jewellery must be removed before entering the factory
– Handbags and scarfs are not to be taken into the factory
– All attendees will be provided with a white overcoat and hairnet to wear during the tour

Please note: The Haigh’s Factory Tour will be conducted in 2 groups. Delegates will be allocated one of the following tours.
Group one will experience to process of turning cocoa beans into the liquid gold we know and love.
Group two will experience the production and finishing of our favourite Haigh’s products.
