SA Mushrooms

WEDNESDAY 10
9.00am – 12.00pm
Pick up at the Hilton Adelaide foyer, at 8.30am sharp.

Established in 1998, SA Mushrooms is the largest, family owned and operated mushroom business in South Australia. The farm’s recent expansion has allowed SA Mushrooms to become a fully integrated mushroom farm with over 100 staff. SA Mushrooms produces its compost which is used to grow up to 60 tonnes of mushrooms per week.

Mushrooms grow at a rate of 1mm per hour and each is delicately handpicked and only touched one time before it reaches the grocery store.

If you have ever wondered what it looks like inside a Mushroom Farm and would like to learn more about the goodness found in mushrooms, then don’t miss this rare opportunity to tour one of South Australia’s state-of-the-art facilities.

As well as meeting the owners, brothers Nick and Nat Femia and their dad Sam, on the tour you will be treated to a culinary mushroom experience.

Dress: Casual wear, with covered toe shoes.

Morning tea will be provided.
