Appropriately for our conference theme of Legacy, Alinta Wilson carries on a rich tradition of family involvement in thoroughbred racehorse bloodstock operations. Alinta’s grandfather was Bob Ingham, co-founder of Australia’s largest chicken producer Ingham Enterprises, as well as the Woodlands Stud and Crown Lodge Racing operations, responsible for breeding and racing many champions of the Australian turf including Octagonal and Lonhro, and winning many of Australia’s premier races on multiple occasions. Alinta’s mother, Debbie Kepitis, etched her own name in horse racing lore as the part-owner of Australia’s greatest-ever racehorse, Winx. After having a career outside of the family business, Alinta now represents her family’s boutique breeding and racing operation, Woppitt Bloodstock, along with her mother Debbie, father Paul, and sisters Lara and Talia.
Alinta serves on the board of her family’s private ancillary fund, is a Chartered Accountant and a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
